A six-bedroom family house built from structural frame to handover, with a pitched tiled roof, attic floor, lean-to conservatory, and caramelised bamboo floors throughout.

Challenge

Six bedrooms, all ensuite, plus a family room and an attic floor, on a plot in a settled estate with neighbours close on both sides. A house of this size can easily read as bulk. The design called for a deep pitched roof and an attic storey, which meant the build had to carry a complex roof structure over a wide span while keeping the ceilings below clean and unbroken.

Approach

We took the house from masonry and scaffolding through to a finished interior. The gallery runs backwards from handover: rendered and glazed with the pergola up, then the timber-floored rooms, then the bare frame in August 2025 with the roof still being framed.

Outcome

A large family house delivered without the bulk that six ensuite bedrooms usually brings. The conservatory is the piece clients notice: a room that takes the sun without putting anyone directly in it.
